What's Debian?

Debian is an open source OS developed openly by many volunteer programmers who want to fire debian. The debian operating system is a combination of software developed under the GNU license, and primarily uses the linux kernel, preferring it to be called Debian GNU / Linux.

This operating system that uses linux kernel which is one of the popular linux distro with their stability. The average distro derived from debian is the most widely used in the world, examples such as: Ubuntu, Linux Mint, and Bactrack.

Debian was first introduced by Ian Murdock a student of Purdue University of the United States, on 16 August 1993.

The name of debian itself is an abbreviation, derived from a combination of the name Ian Murdock (debian maker) with his former lover Debra Lynn, and then briefly into words "DEBIAN"

What's the Debian Server Function?

The function can be as a network server or network processor such as routers, repeaters and others besides (Operating System) os debian is also famous for its stability in appeal with other linux distro os debian more stable, so we can use or maximize it with pc or laptop which are low or low specifications.

Os debian also works for Troubleshooting in the sense of being able to detect errors that exist in hardware, software or from netwok.
